Description
Each crysknife is harvested from a dune worm we hunted ourselves and carved to perfection. You could also say we 3D printed them, which would be WAY more accurate. Instead of foreign nightmare terror teeth, the blades are printed in PLA plastic with varying infill to keep them light and strong, generally printed in black recycled filament. Each assembled crysknife is approximately 17.5″ long, with an approximate 12″ blade.
The blade is printed lengthwise, giving the strongest possible plastic blade without requiring a reinforcing rod. This means the edge will not be knife-like smooth – please look closely at the pictures to see how the blade edges will appear. You can optionally sand these edges into smooth details.
All blades come with a Dune stand, designed to hold the blade securely while featuring the Dune logo in prominent gold.
Items are shipped in six pieces – the blade, the “metal” part of the handle, the black grip, a connector pin to help align parts, and two pieces to make the stand. You will need to use superglue to affix the pieces together.
Each blade comes UNPAINTED and printed in a black PLA as default, unless you select the PAINTED option. Stands will always be painted.
