As a first-generation Italian American, it was common to see aunts, uncles, and grandparents have conversations (arguments) about important matters (not really) calmly and rationally (through yelling). Something always came up as a problem, though – how were we supposed to eat dinner and talk at the same time?

Knowing that speaking Italian without hand gestures is about as realistic as staying out of the way in the kitchen, only one solution came to mind, and so we went to our lab for years of extensive research. Now, we’re proud to offer the Italian Speech Assistant. Grab a cannoli and don’t slow down your rant! Throw a slipper at a grandchild without missing a beat!
